How are we paid?
If the inheritance proceeding is successful, our company receives a pre-agreed share of the estate. The client bears no costs: our company assumes responsibility for the case and covers all related costs. If the inheritance proceeding is unsuccessful, we charge the client no fees.
How does it work?
Agreement
After contacting a potential heir, we enter into an agreement on our share of the inheritance. To protect our work and research, we disclose details of the assets to the client only after the agreement has been signed.
Research and documentation
We then locate and gather all the evidence required for the inheritance proceeding, including the necessary translations, confirmations and apostilles.
Court proceedings
Through our partner law firms, we arrange representation of the heirs before the competent court. Court proceedings can be administratively lengthy and may take approximately two years. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed deadline.
Receiving the inheritance
After the case is successfully concluded, the heirs receive their inheritance, from which we receive the pre-agreed share. If, for any reason, the case does not conclude in our client’s favour, our company is not entitled to any fee under the inheritance-share agreement.
